Taken advantage of

I'm in a tough situation and no matter what I do or how many jobs I work I'm still in desperate need....went thru a tough divorce in 09 and 6 months later met someone I thought to be special....he took my savings, checking, wracked up credit debt and went thru all my retirement. His scam was that he had prostate cancer and was almost complete with treatments...he needed the help and then he was to go back to his previous job where he said he made $160,000 a yr. and was going to repay me....He left while I was at work and I don't know where he's at. My trust is broke and me and my two kids are struggling to find a home, winter clothes and hoping for somesort of Christmas for them. I know there is light at the end of the tunnel and so I keep working and fighting for releif....

Faith!!

That is wonderful!!! I'm so happy they'll have something for Christmas. I also had a thought, have you contacted your local churches? A lot of them have outreach programs that also have Christmas projects. Some will have church families that adopt neighborhood families providing them with baskets, etc. Another one is the Christmas Angel program but I cannot recall if that is the Salvation Army program or not. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I went through something similar and unfortunately there isn't a lot you can do. Even if you report him he's not a business and you gave him the monies willingly. All you can do now is search out the aid to help you get the kids winter clothing and gifts for Christmas.

I certainly hope that you reported that JACK ASS to the police! I am very sorry to hear about the devastation he has caused. I don't know if this will help, but I have attached a website link containing information on what to do if you've been scammed. Please keep us posted.
